“Zero deaths at work” & workers’ rights at the core of Florence trip

Nicolas Schmit, PES Common Candidate was in Italy on 20 April to participate to an EU campaign event with Dario Nardella, PD mayor of Florence. He visited, together with trade unions, the Esselunga construction site in Florence where five workers died last February following a structural collapse. He discussed health and safety and reaffirmed his commitment to ‘zero deaths at work’, also supported by trade unions.
