To drive forward the green and digital transitions, Europe must invest in skills and the creation of high-quality jobs. Today, PES Common Candidate Nicolas Schmit made a campaign stop in Barcelona, Spain, to visit to the Institut Escolas Del Treball de Barcelona – a centre providing training in cutting-edge sectors like Artificial Intelligence, digital and precision engineering.
Common Candidate Schmit also held meetings with the leader of the Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSC) Salvador Illa Roca, who led the party to victory at the Catalan regional election earlier this month. Common Candidate Schmit also met with Mayor of Barcelona Jaume Collboni, MEP Javi López and Catalan MPs Esther Niubó and Pol Gibert.
