On 16 May, Nicolas Schmit travelled to Romania to visit the Dacia car factory. After the visit, he participated in a discussion with young people on the Future of Europe at the House of Culture in Mioveni and then visited the Golești Museum.
In the afternoon, Nicolas Schmit met with leader of PSD and Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.
