On 3rd June Nicolas Schmit attended the PES event ‘We stand together for our Europe’ together with Duygu Celik from PS Belgium, Javier Moreno Sánchez, PSOE Spain, Cecilia Gondard, PS France, as well as Marc Angel & Danielle Filbig from LSAP and former Luxembourgish Foreign Affairs Minister Jean Asselborn.
During the event a declaration was signed by more than 40 mayors from the Greater Region, launched by Nancy Mayor Mathieu Klein, calling to support Nicolas Schmit to become President of the Commission and vote socialists on 9th June.
