Good quality, affordable housing, available for those who need it – Vienna shows what can be achieved to make sure citizens across of Europe have good homes. Today, PES Common Candidate Nicolas Schmit visited the Austrian capital to see first-hand the city’s innovative housing projects. Alongside SPÖ lead candidate and MEP Andreas Schieder and European Parliament Vice-President and SPÖ MEP Evelyn Regner, Nicolas Schmit visited Wohnbau-Projekt, housing for single parents, older people and young people built on a former industrial site.
Earlier in the day, PES Common Candidate Nicolas Schmit and SPÖ leader Andreas Babler visited Museum Marienthal, which documents a pioneering study into unemployment in Austria.
